AEOS by Nedap Security Management

AEOS by Nedap Security Management is a versatile security platform that uses generic hardware controllers and standard software components.

Components of AEOS (e.g. access control, locker management, etc.) can be used as subsystems within a security management application, but in many cases AEOS is implemented as an overarching security system to which various subsystems are connected. In that case, the Graphical Alarm Handler (GAH) is used. The GAH contains floor plans organized in a hierarchical tree structure. All important system components for which AEOS can generate alarms and events are displayed on these floor plans. For each alarm point, the audiovisual behavior (icons, colors, audio for status) can be freely configured for every event and alarm from a sensor (input, door sensors, camera).

For every alarm, it is possible to define instruction sets that force the operator to handle situations in a specific way. The GAH not only provides the operator with real-time information about the status of the entire system (viewing), but also offers the possibility to control the system (responding). For example, an operator can: open/close doors, view live video, activate intercoms, arm and disarm intrusion zones, and more.

The AEOS video application offers basic functionalities for managing IP cameras. The viewer is designed to provide an optimal user experience through sliding panels, easy creation of views, carousel functionality, PTZ control, and quick review. In review mode, recorded footage can be consulted.
